Procedural instruction emergency plan

The emergency plan serves to ensure the ability to act and legal security of ARTS Solutions GmbH on a permanent basis. 

The contingency planning generally includes industry-independent protection goals:

• Protection of people and the environment from harmful effects

• Protection of operational functions and infrastructure

• Avoidance of economic damage to the company

• Avoidance of negative legal consequences for the company

• Avoidance of a loss of acceptance for the location

The type and scope of the emergency planning and the associated technical, organizational and personnel measures and the resources to be provided depend, among other things, on the size of the location, the production processes, the potential risk of the substances being handled and possible external influencing factors. 

The management is responsible for creating an emergency plan. It can transfer the lead for this task to a qualified employee or use external expertise. As a preventive measure, the respective emergencies are considered in the risk assessment, if necessary measures are derived and updated annually in the management review.

The emergency plan is divided into a description of the situation and an explanation of the respective procedure. The respective behavior in an emergency is specified in the emergency plans.

Emergency plans are defined in the emergency manual for the following scenarios:

• Power and Internet failure emergency plan

• Fire emergency plan

• Severe weather emergency plan

• Contingency plan
